How the skill system works 1. You gain skill experience for doing things. (i.e. Chop down tree and gain XP in gathering.) 2. Once you gain 100 XP in one of the general skill traits you get a skill point. 3. Skill points can be used to unlock skill spheres on the skill tree. You can spend the points on whatever skills you want for the beginner skills but the more advance skills might require a certain skill or skill level to unlock. 4. Unlocking skill sphere can grant a player greater skills, abilities or knowledge to research. 5. The higher you skill is in something the quicker you can research something.

Research Focuses When a player researching new abilities, techniques and recipes (will add more in here later) Combat Tactics Crafting Magic Research Restoration Social Stealth Survival
Fame & Alignment Fame and Alignment is set of number that determines how you interact with the world and what you get back from it. Example: Someone who learn pretty far into an evil alignment will be less likely to discover something like a mass healing spell or purification enchantments Another example is a someone with high gluttony may require more food to up keep and their health will suffer for it.
Hidden Attributes (These skills are for interacting with NPCs) Heroism (Good Deeds)/ Villainy (Evil Deeds) Lust (excessive sexual appetites)/ Chastity (purity) Gluttony (over-indulgence)/ Temperance (self-restraint) Greed (avarice)/ Charity (giving) Sloth (laziness/idleness) / Diligence (zeal/integrity/Labor)
Not sure yet, these are just conceptual images right now. I know a bit of java so i might just brush up on that. I have a friend who knows C and python, so who knows. Still researching it and finalizing details of the game.
